The Art and The Artist

Thank you for stopping by. I'm Melissa Webb. A multi-passionate artist and entrepreneur. Everything you see on this website has been painted, drawn or designed by me.

​

I have previously focused on portraits, creating these using acrylic paint, charcoal and digitally. I am now working on a new series, 'The Waves', in which I am exploring the art I feel and see inside my head - rather than just that which I can see with my eyes. The focus of this work is mental health, the parallels of human existence and the sea, as well as the contradictions that both of these present us with. These are mixed media pieces - primarily acrylic, inks, dyes and modelling clay.

I'm very proud to have had my art featured on the BBC and in the legendary hip hop magazine The Source, amongst others. It's also pretty cool to know that my art is hanging in the homes and offices of some of the best athletes, DJ's and musicians.

​

I think art is the very best thing in the world. In troubled times, globally or personally, it consistently offers us a positive escape. Through making it or owning it.

​

My goal is to help and encourage as many people as possible to collect, hang and wear the art they love. And I hope you will find some art to fall in love with here.
